NO MORE PAIN

Dear Sirs,

Thanks you for helping save my golfing life!  For the past 12 years I have played a set of custom built blades equipped with FM 6.5 shafts and as such, and my elbow and shoulder joint pain had gotten to the point that I was considering selling my clubs and quitting golf.  I would come home from a round of golf and spend the next 2-3 evenings with anti-inflammatory medication and ice packs on both elbows and wrists in order to try and lessen the pain to the point that I could possibly play the following week.  After realizing that I couldn't continue like this, I spoke with Don Irving of Artisan Golf on Kanata , Ontario where I live and I decided to give graphite shafts a try as a last possible "Cry for Help".  Gentleman, please allow me to tell you how absolutely amazing the results were!  I have played 5 rounds of golf since having Don installed a set of SK Fiber Tour Track  90 shafts in my old Louisville blades and I am PAIN FREE!!!!!!!  Not only that I am hitting the ball at least 20 yards farther with each club and using 75% of the energy to do so!!  The quality of your products are such that I felt as though I should send you this e-mail to thank you personally for allowing me to not only play golf again but to do so pain free and better than I have played in years!!  The last 3 rounds with your shafts in my irons are 75, 72, 72 (and all on courses with slopes in excess of 132!).  The only problem I am having as I have told Don is trying to convince myself that I do actually hit a 6 iron 195 yards (not bad for someone old enough to play the champion tour).  The quality and consistency of your products are unbelievable and I want to truly thank you for making available to the "average golfers" and not exclusively for the tour pros.

Yours Truly,

Jim Delahunty

BROKEN SHAFT TO A POSSIBLE DREAM

I have been competing for several years on the long drive circuit, with moderate success.  I have never made it to Mesquite, but I do well in the local and district qualifiers, and I did win some smaller long drive events.  The other day I was at the range, and in the process of hitting, I broke my shaft.  It was Proforce Gold 75 X-flex.  I went in to the ProShop and the course, and the club repair had an SK Fiber shaft, it was the only shaft he had in an X-flex.  I needed my club so I had him put it in.  I went back out to the range the next day, and promptly hit the next four drives between 330 and 400.  I could not believe it.  I actually had one jump to 400 yards.  All because of the new SK Fiber shaft.  I am looking forward to getting back on the Long Drive Tour and hitting and finally making it to Mesquite with this new setup.  After I win at Mesquite, I would love to join your "Hitmen" Long Drive Team.  Actually, I wish I could join now, but I am sure you need a little more success on my end.  Believe me, it's coming.  SK Fiber is the best shaft I've hit hands down.

A NICE PROBLEM FOR CLUBMAKERS-

I want to thank Casey for sending up the two graphite shafts for me to try.  The shaft that I have had the chance to try is the Pure Energy model.

The first thing that every clubmaker would notice, is that the shaft is very consistent.  The concentricity from quadrant to quadrant is excellent.  There were not any crazy eights or loops in this shaft.  In fact, when I was trying to determine a perfect Flat Line Oscillation (FLO) to install it in the head, it was difficult to determine because of the shaft consistency.  That is a nice problem for clubmakers.

As far as the hitting performance, this is a very good feeling, middle of the road priced shaft.  You are not paying a higher price for a premium, low torque shaft, but this shaft (62 grams, 4.0 torque, in an R flex) will fit a wide variety of swing parameters that a majority of clubmakers are dealing with.

AT 51 YEARS OF AGE, I BEAT ALL THE COLLEGE KIDS AND OUT-DROVE EVERYONE IN THE FIELD-

Tom Wells has been building custom-made Clubs since 1965; that's  longer than Titleist, Taylor Made, or Callaway.  He is a "Hudson Cupper", which is a competition that pits the best amateurs and pros on the West Coast of the United States to an annual match. Tom is one of the few "Master Clubmakers" (37 yrs.) in the world. He sent us this wonderful success story:

Casey,

I won the Gray's Harbor Men's Amateur and the Inglewood Invitational using the SL-46 shaft in my woods. At 51 years of age, I beat all the college kids and out-drove everyone in the field with this superb shaft. These tournaments are considered major Amateur competitions in the Pacific Northwest. Both tournaments were won in Washington State. We want to do more business with you this year!

THEY FEEL GREAT-

(Jim Goodwillie has been a clubmaker for 19 years. He is a Class A member of The Professional Clubmaker's Society and an advanced pro of The Golf Clubmaker's Association.)

K.C.

I appreciate you taking the time to visit with me about how you determine the CPM's listed for your shafts in the catalog; It was very enlightening. Let me also mention how pleased I was with the Tri Tec shafts I put in my personal clubs. The flexes came out right on the money after tipping the required amount, and they feel great! They have not lowered my 8 handicap, but seem more consistent than my steel shafts - and they sure feel a lot better! I would not have believed graphite shafts could be as consistent as steel if I had not experienced it myself. I have been using your shafts for the last 10 years and hope to do so for the next 10.

Regards, Jim Goodwillie

IT'S AN ACE-

Curt Roland, 34, of Lamar, Mo., aced the #5 193 yd, Par 3 hole at the Lamar Missouri Country Club on April 20th, 2001.  Curt used a #7 snake eye TC-01 iron assembled with a SK Fiber SL40 stiff graphite shaft. The set of irons were custom made and fitted by his father, Larry Roland, a Professional Clubmaker's Society Certified Class "A" Clubmaker. This was Curt's first ace and it happened in a Chamber of Commerce 4-person scramble tournament. The local John Deere dealer sponsored a 6-wheel drive Gator as the prize for the 1st hole-in-one on #5. His dad, Larry Roland, and 6 other participants were witness to the event. Playing partners were Judd Payne and Bob Triplett. Other witnesses were John Adams, Jim Pawlus, Chuck Willard, and Richard Winter.

Love of "Tour Performance"

I put your "Tour Performance" shafts in a new set of Mizuno MX-20 irons that had come w. True Temper Dynalite shafts.  What a difference!  I've had a lot of sets of irons over the years and this is the most excited I've ever been about a set.  The Mizuno's are forged and along w. your shafts, I used the new Lamkin 35g. grips that make a difference of about 3 swing weight points.  I now have the sweetest feeling irons I've ever owned...great feel, great launch angle, added distance.  The clubmaker that did the work was even excited at how close the tolerance on the set turned out.  Glad I came across your ad in GolfWeek.
